3 year old arms covered in wee raised dots

Hi - checking out here as know a GP would laugh me out of the surgery DS is 3 and has wee bumps all over his arms - a bit like the ones I get at the top of my arm but they are totally in keeping with the colour of his skin (not white or red). He had eczema but grew out of it and only is bathed once or twice a week. They don't cause him any discomfort but his arms actually feel rough and am curious to know if I can do anything to help. Any experience or advice welcome - thanks!

My DD keeps getting these, every few weeks, I think its heat rash.

We use Aqueous cream to wash with & use it as a moisturiser afterwards.

Oh I hadn't even thought of heat ?? He is a sweaty sleeper though..

Google keratosis pilaris, sounds from your description that you may both be candidates for it (and it is hereditary - I have it as does my DS). No cure as such from my understanding but various treatments that help minimise the bumps. I exfoliate my sons arms every so often (only with a sponge) and we did experiment with different bath gels etc. and currently use burts bees on him.

It sounds odd, but Flexitol Heel Balm got rid of my daughter's little bumps on her arm. It's got a high quantity of urea in it which works well to remove them.

Google molluscum contagium and see if it looks like that. My three year old has it, it's harmless but it does seem to make his eczema worse

Sorry I missed the replies. His doesn't look like any of the pics but does fit the "constant goosebumps" description so maybe it is the chicken skin one? Pretty sure that's not what I have though as mine is just blocked hairs and easily cleared up
