DS had his jabs last Tuesday and for the last couple of days just isn't his happy self, very moany needy can't play by himself needs to be in my arms. Cries A LOT like something is hurting him upset tummy and he is running a temp last night reached 37.6 now my question is is this due to his silly jabs or do I need to get him down to a GP?

I wouldn't assume it was linked to his jabs - seems too long after to me.

Temp didn't come down with calpol alone, dosed him up with nurofen too which seemed to sort him out.

My DD was poorly about 10 days after (one huge vomit) and off colour for a day or two. This was 5 years ago, so my memories might be a nig hazy, but I googled at the time and from what I recall found that it was a normal reaction to the MMR, have heard of other children having the same reaction subsequently. Is 37.6 high for him? It's normal range for my two, illness has usually been accompanied by 38+. Wouldn't do any harm to see the Dr and get him checked out, if in doubt I always do.

Thank you for all the replies :)
(And checking the nhs I'm so sleep deprived I didn't think of that) we have a drop in baby clinic today from 9 so think I'll take him round to see his HV she can always refer us to the GP :)

My son had a similar but worse reaction. Head to toe measles,we did not know he had immune system problems.

Dd did this. Quite common at about day 7-10 to have symptoms similar to mild measles, along with rash. Dd also had a bump at 3 weeks after the mmr with the mumps bit - wasn't expecting that! Less common, but well known.

My general rule of thumb is if the temp comes down with calpol or nurofen and they're eating and drinking, then I ride it out.

Wouldn't put me off getting the mmr for a moment though.

10 days after my lo has a shocking rash ( I thought chicken pox) and was generally unwell for a few days, she's never ill even when teething so was an horrendous week bless her
