Help - toy storage ideas please !!

Hi all,

Up until a few days back, we had the perfect toy storage solution... we had a tiny extra room where we keep DS's playpen (which he no longer uses) and used that to store all the big toy items like balls, walker, shape sorters, activity centre, etc.... We are now using that room for the cross trainer, which means that DS's playpen has been dismantled and put up in the loft... which does leave me with a horde of toys and nowhere to put them!!

I have already put away toys that DS no longer plays with. I have one of these which is great for his cars, trains and small soft toys. But what do I do with all the big items ! Confused

I would like something like a big canvas basket, but I haven't found any that I like...

Any suggestions would be helpful...

TIA :)

Get thee to IKEA and get some Kallax (used to be Expedition) shelves and boxes to go in them. I have recently successfully housed lots of DDs toys and craft stuff in a combo of 2 units. The fabric draws eat toys.

Bump means get the thread back on active so people reply.

We use trofast. I'm planning to put a curtain on the front too.

What about a toy chest?

We had a beautiful toy chest specially made and it's so frigging gorgeous I can't bear to put any toys in it in case they scratch it [precious emoticon]

But yes I'm sure it would help me out of a similar problem OP. I need to have a word with myself.
