The end of my maternity leave is rapidly approaching, and I want to make the most of the next 2 months I have off with my ds2 who is 6 months. I feel like I have got into a rut lately. Each day follows pretty much the same pattern - nursery drop off/pick up for ds1, shopping, laundry, cooking etc, perhaps a coffee grabbed here and there but nothing too exciting. I'll hopefully get on a baby swimming course in a few weeks.
I don't currently live in the UK and where I do live all the playgroups are closed during the school summer holidays. I know there are a few mums groups about. I tried one but was obviously a bit late coming to the party if you know what I mean and didn't really click with anyone.
I won't get this time back again sadly as I doubt I will have another baby. I just feel I am wasting this precious time on domestic crap. How can I keep me and my ds2 entertained and enjoy this special time?

What (organised and unorganised) activities do you do with your 6 month old and for yourself?
