21 month non sleeper.. Will a bed help?

Our 21 month old has always been a nightmare at sleeping.. Have gone and bought her a toddler bed in the hope this could help.

Does anyone have any positive experiences of this being the case?

Yes and nooooo...

DS2 hated his cot. Fell asleep in it fine but if he woke in it he would not go back to sleep and ended up in with us, sometimes as early as 10/11pm.

Toddler bed at 22mo and he's a bugger to get to go to sleep (gets out constantly for about an hour Confused ) BUT once he's asleep he'll go through 'til morning, self-settling if he does wake. Usually

That's good to hear!! My dd sounds similar as she is fine going down but once awake at night can be up between 1 and 6 hrs!! Yes... 6 hrs is the record! Usually ends up in our bed but my oh is not happy at all about this rod making so we are trying this in desperation.

Thanks for the reassurance! X

Do you know why he's waking? Eg teething, reflux, ear problems etc etc?

Nothing specific really... She has phases where she sleeps and phases where she doesn't. The latter far outweighs the former. She can self settle but just won't when she doesn't want to. It's honestly a mystery. We have tried everything except CIO x
