Out of Moses basket but what now?

My 6 week old baby has been in a Moses basket by me since he's come home from hospital either throughout the day and by my side during the night. But now as he outgrows it I've no idea where to put him. He is now awake for longer periods in the day and sleeps slightly longer at night but if he's not in his Moses where do I put him? The Moses is so convenient it just comes wherever I go so I am free to shower, eat, sleep whatever all with him by my side I'm just now worried about what happens next (sorry first time -very-inexperienced mum!!)....

Bouncy chair, baby gym or on a mat on the floor (probably surrounded by toys!)

I had this dilemma too. We were going to get a travel cot to put I the living room. She is already in her cot I our room.

She now falls asleep on her playmat/gym and we transfer her to the sofa and make sure she can't roll off. We always sit with her anyway. My daughter is older, but we have a bumbo chair and when I'm in the kitchen i sit her in that. It's an awkward limbo stage where they are too big for their mosses basket, but not big enough for an alternative.

We use a bouncy chair suitable for newborns from about 3 weeks - one upstairs and one downstairs. Also a play mat on the floor but bouncy chair was safer as kept her from being trodden on by clumsy, overexcited 3yr old!

Bouncy chair. Get a cheap one with a metal frame that they can bounce themselves when they older and stronger. And drag it from room to room x

My Ds was out of his moses and in his cot at 7 weeks, during the day he falls asleep in his play gym, buggy or cot. When I have a shower and he is awake I out him in his bouncy chair outside the bathroom door so I can see him and he knows I am there! Smile

I put my LO on her change mat on the bathroom floor when I shower. She finds it fun.

My DD didn't come out of her Moses basket until 6 months, and she's not small! However she rarely napped in it in the day, she either slept on me, in her bouncy chair or in her pram.
