Co sleeping question

Is there anything you can buy for your baby to sleep in/on in your bed?
I know there are bed side co sleeping cots, but am sure I've seen little mattresses or shallow cot things that's actually go ON your own mattress, between DP and you say.
I like the idea of a bed side cot but been reading up on it and worried about getting in and out of bed myself! Would love to bfeed lying down this time so considering co sleeping but wondering what the options are

I have seen a little thing but tbh it looked more dangerous to me as it was like a little cocoon round them, yet you're told to keep coverings away from face. I had a co-sleeper cot which essentially operated as a means of ensuring he couldn't fall out of the bed and a bedside table. I cocooned him myself with my knees and arm. I don't think they're meant to sleep between you when tiny as the father doesn't have the same instinct as a breast feeding mother.

There is something many people suggest, think it's called cocoonababy or similar. John Lewis sell them, they are pricey though.

How do you feed them in the sleepyhead? I would just prepare your bed for cosleeping safely. Personally i think thats the safest and easiest way, rather than relying on guards etc.
You will naturallu assume a protective side lying position. For that i recommend pillow between knees to ankles, cushion stuffed into small of your back and rolled up blanket against baby, from shoulders down,
tokeep them on their side. These things will save your back and hips!

We used a baby nest type thing whilst we were in hospital when ds was born, I don't think you could feed them lying down as it had raised edges.

We have a cotbed which we use as a co-sleeping cot, there is less than a meter left at the end of the bed so whoever is sleeping next to ds ( he's a big toddler now so dp also sleeps next to him sometimes) just gets out the other side of the bed.

I bought a My Little Bed just before 11 week old DS was born. He has ended up sleeping right next to me, tucked under my arm with me adopting the 'protective position' mentioned above. The My Little Bed has become a useful spot to park my water bottle, chocolate, nappies, breast pads, Ipad etc etc...

We bought the Rachel Cot bed from John Lewis. With one side taken off it was just the right height to go next to our bed so DD had her own space to sleep in and I could roll over to feed.
