Hi,
My daughter is 10 weeks old and out of nowere has starting bring up blood.
I put her to sleep on her side (she screams every time she's put on her back) and when I go to wake her I have noticed blood directly under her mouth in the sheets.

We have been to A and E twice now and they have taken her bloods and sent us back home as they come back normal and she's healthy otherwise.

She is taking her feeds, pohing, weeing, smiling and seems conpleatllllyyyyy normal in herself.

Has anyone ever heard of this or have any idea what it maybe?

We are obviously extreamly worried and not happy just to carry on as normal as this could be a sign of somthing bad.

We have checked every inch of her for trasses of where the blood could have come from and the docs looked in her nose, ears ,throat but no signs of blood!
I am not Brest feeding so it can't be Mastious.

Please help if you can, we are worried sick!!

Thanks

I am not sure if this is the sane thing at all, but this happened to me once, I can't remember how old my DD was, but it turned out to be a teething!!! Sometimes the teeth can pop through and then recede again I think as they sort themselves out but I might be wrong about that too?!? hope you get to the bottom of this! Good luck!

Oh how scary for you. But if they've checked bloods and she is otherwise well it probably is nothing.

We've had this with all four of ours and causes have been;

Scratches caused by nails
Nosebleeds attached to colds
Nosebleeds out of nowhere
Bit lip

What does your GP say?

GP can't explain it and says it would be silly to do lots of test on an otherwise perfectly healthy baby, I do agree but also worried as we still don't know what it is.

We checked for teases of blood and couldn't find any but my husband is sure it's a nose bleed then she has cried all the blood has been cleared by snot/her forsing her cry out.

Thanks for your help xx
