Breastfed 1yo struggling to sleep - help!

Hello all
I breastfeed my one year old daughter still. She feeds a couple of times throughout the day and she has one or two naps during the day, both of which she takes after falling asleep on the boob.
I used to feed her to sleep at night and she would usually sleep from 7-12 ish, then wake for a feed and go back in the cot, then wake again at about 4 for a feed and stay in bed with me then until morning.
When she was 9 months old I started working again, leaving my husband to put her to sleep on a Fri, Sat and Sun night with a bottle. She has been a nightmare for him, screaming for a good couple of hours before finally settling but then up every couple of hours for another feed, I know she probably isnt hungry, she just wants the comfort.
I have taken on extra hours and now am only there to put her to bed one night a week as I work from 7-11 six nights a week. My poor husband is really struggling to get her to go to sleep and we have devoured and tried every suggestion in Pantley's "no cry sleep solution" but to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Could he put her in your bed until you get home? Know this sounds a bit bonkers but she will probably settle much better.

Have you read 31 ways to get your baby bot sleep and 12 alternatives for the all night nurser?

I suppose we could try that, then I could feed her again in bed before putting her in the cot for hopefully a longer stretch of sleep. Thanks for those links too, very interesting reading!

It does sound a bit crazy, but might just work Smile
