can anyone recommend a sling

I have a 2wo and I would like to buy a sling, mainly for use around the house because she doesn't like to be put down and I'll never get anything done otherwise! I'm probably not going to use it too much out and about but I would like one that is comfortable and easy to use. Can anybody share their recommendations? Thanks.

Victoria Sling Lady! Mine was brilliant, use it lots around the house & out and about ... At first glance they look difficult to put on but they really are not at all, very straightforward Grin They have a website x

Close baby carrier for indoors and summer.

A manduca for outdoors when they're bigger.

I cannot recommend Kari me sling enough. I used hug gabby with my first and always felt like she was going to fall out. Kari me was just amazing, supported his head and kept him close to me and secure and kept him warm as he was born in all that snow 2 years ago. It was a godsend when I was jobbing at home including potty training my daughter as I had two free hands to help her on the toilet and he was firmly attached to me.

I like my Baby Bjorn because I'm not very good at tying knots and things, so I find it reassuring that it all clicks into place. Also it supports the head well. However, I mostly use it outside the house.

I would get to a sling meet or a sling library and try a few out first - can be a very personal choice.

Personally I rate an unpadded ring sling for a littley - upright position, nice and tight and high on your chest with froggied up legs, and a rolled up muslin in the edge for neck support. :)

Yy to sling libraries it's vvvv personal. I had a close with dc1 I hated - too fussy and too bloody hot!
Started with a Kali Sling with dc2 - brilliant but fiddly for short periods. Moved on to a Lenny lamb ring sling - much easier to get baby in and out etc and yy to good frog position etc and looks amazing but hurts my bloody back! Borrowed an ergo - weight bearing much better but really that's an outdoor sling though my friend uses hers in the house all the time but still v spendy just for doing jobs in the house!
I use a Facebook page called Slings and Things FSOT - lots of advice/discussion and pictures there :-)

We use a close carrier for our DD1 (9 weeks). We (me, DP, DD) all love it.
