Snowball incident yesterday

Hi Folks

As most of you know, the weather was pretty bad yesterday & when my 11 year old daughter was coming home from school she was hit by a snow ball by a lad who she says was about 14-16 years old. She couldn?t work out if he was from her school or the other secondary school (which is located about a 2 minute walk away from her school).

Anyway, her right eye was all swollen and red when she got home (the lift eye was ok), and water was running from her eye. We then took her to the A & E where they gave her ointment to use for the next 3 days.

Do you think I should report this incident to the school? They might turn around and say that it took place outside school hours and outside school premises, plus snow is likely to clear up by Monday anyway.

Please advice.

Thanks in advance for your response.

No - he threw a snowball - he didn't assault her. She was just really unlucky to be hit in the eye. Hope she's better soon.

Theres not really any point reporting it, especially as your dd isn't sure what school this lad came from.

It was also done unintentionally I imagine.
