Put him to bed at the same time every night in a dark quiet room and do not remove him from the room no matter what happens so he learns about day and night. Try everything you can to help him sleep but don't expect over night results DS is 10mo and still doesn't sleep he gets up 2/3 time every night no matter what i do sad on the upside after about 8mo your body will adjust now a good nights sleep for me is 8 hours in 3 blocks.

We co-slept which helped DS go stretches of sometimes 4 hours. However 2 hours is totally normal at that age. They have very small stomachs and especially breastmilk is very quickly digested, so they're hungry often.

Swaddling. DS will wake himself every 15 mins if his arms are left free to jerk about. I leave him loose during the day but defo swaddle at night, plus with cold nights it's reassuring to know he'll be warm (at least until his Houdini succeeds in the early hours of the morning). Strangely, I'm finding that I functioned better on 3+3 hours as opposed to 6 straight hours. Weird! Must be something to do with the REM cycles.

Two hours is absolutely middle-of-the-bell-curve normal for 8 weeks. If you're getting eight hours at night in two hour chunks then you're doing fine! Much of the perception around sleep deprivation is based around the myths a) that adults sleep solidly through the night and b) need to do so in order to be well-rested. Neither of these are true.
