but am sooo proud of dd and she had her first riding lesson today and was FAB. Was just so poised and cool - didn't even hold mane/saddle even when going down steep hill. it's so amazing when you see your child do something for the first time, isn't it?

I remember my first riding lesson aged 5 (it was 32 years ago!) as if it was yesterday, what a great feeling.

Very expensive hobby though, and probably won't be long before you hear "mum can I have a pony of my own"!!

Fantastic!

How old is your DD? I am keen to get my two starting (if they want to) as I haven't ridden since I had them and we could all do together but not sure what age to start.

dd is 3, WCL - 4 in May. I started when I was 2.5 and cannot WAIT till she's a bit older as am planning to buy a 14hh-ish pony for us all....

Car25, not TOO hideous £7 for 30 mins. So am starting her going every fortnight atm.
