Would you like to appear in a commercial? Would you like to earn £300 for a day's filming in Chelsea on Tuesday 9th April 2002? Are you female and between 25 and 33years? I am a casting Director and I am looking for women to star in a short commercial for beer to be broadcast on UK TV. The woman has to hold a bundle (supposed to represent a baby) as if she is breastfeeding. The commercial will be filmed very tastfully and nudity will be very minimum. We have to follow very strict guidelines of 'taste & decency'.
If you are interested please email a recent photo of yourself to or give me a call on 020 7704 6774 or 07973 361 949. I look forward to hearing from you! From Sarah Clay. PS You do not have to be a mother so if anyone knows a freind/nanny who may fit the bill then please pass this on to them!

Spamming eh? £300 that certainly is small beer for a days work!

as an ex model I have to say that £300 for a uk wide commercial, especially if you're going to 'star', speak, or otherwise be featured, is the most rubbish fee I've ever heard. Fine if you're an extra, along with hundreds of others, maybe. Cloggers - why don't you just go through an agency and pay normal rates, like everyone else? After all, you don't even need a real mum for this, just a woman holding a bundle!

Am I the only one slightly tempted by this? Not knowing the first thing about 'rates' etc, £300 seems like a small fortune to me! Didn't go for it tho' as I don't live in London, so thought I'd leave it up to you London ladies.......

Sorry but I agree with Manna,£300 is an extra's day rate, not a featured artists. A featured artist would earn £300 for the day plus a considerable amount for repeats. Clogger as a casting director you must know of loads of extra agencies. I think its abit of a cheap scam to try and get someone from Mumsnet to cut costs. Also I'm slightly concerned about an ad featuring breastfeeding and beer, what exactly is the angle on this?

A friend of mine did the Fruit and Fibre ad. years ago and he got £3000 and they dubbed his singing voice! He also got paid every time it was shown (can't remember how much though). R

Just to let you all know - featured artists on comms especially if they are only slightly famous and its a ITV1 comm to go on all regions can get anything - up to £40K - but that is for their agent to negotiate. One of my friends did a Daily Mail comm and he bought his conservatory on the fee. So £300 - really poor fee.

Agee with Tigermoth Oh to be that age range.
