Baby Sucking on Anything!

Just thought I would share this with you.

My husband and I are splitting up and he is in the loft!

Last night, my baby went to bed without finishing her last bottle - only taking 4 oz. She was in bed at 7:30 but woke this morning at 5:30 (my God, she hasn't been awake that early in a long while). I took her into my bedroom and fed her her first bottle of the day of which she only left about 1 oz.

She sucks on anything and I have a continual fight to get her thumb out of her mouth so I can give her her bottle.

This morning I put her on my chest to "wind her" and before I knew it I had fallen asleep (well drowsing any way).

I woke up to the most lovely sensation I have felt in a long while. I was most disappointed to realise it was my baby sucking on my neck.

Oh well!

Needless to say, when I woke up she was put back into her cot straight away while I was left lonely in my bed.

How old is she? She could be teething or just hungry - has she started solids yet - if not she may be ready to start.
By the way - love the idea of packing your husband into a box and putting him into the loft with the rest of the useless stuff !!!

Jaybee, she is 5 months. My HV thinks she has been teething for the last 2 months - huge bumps in her gums - but nothing has appeared yet.

I have only just started her on baby rice - doesn't seem that interested at the moment, but will keep trying it. Over this weekend, might try her on some pureed banana or carrot to see if that interests her.

Husband - hope he gathers dust as quickly as everything else that is up there!!

By the way, how do you do those funny smiles?

Both my two hated baby rice on its own but once I added in a bit of either pureed apple, pear or carrot then it went down really well (and up at times too!!).
It would be my guess that she is teething though. Is she dribbling too?

She doesn't seem to be dribbling but I wouldn' be surprised to see some of those gorgeous new baby teeth in a short while.
