Let me introduce myself, I am a mum of three children, a nearly six year old, a three year old and a small baby. I am foreigner but I have lived in England for many years, as my husband is British and was working in my country for a year only.
I am living in Balham now but I have lived in quite few places around SW London, North London, and East London. We want to settle down and not have to move for many years, but still staying in London, so Dulwich sounds like the perfect option. We were thinking of moving in 12 to 18 months but a problem with the building means we are forced to leave our property now, and we have decided to move to Dulwich asap.
I am worried. And scared. I am probably overreacting as I am comfortable where I live, I know a lot about the area now and there is a lot on your doorstep. Can anyone confirm/deny certain comments I have read please?
- is Dulwich for older parents?
- is there little to do with babies and toddlers?
- is it poorly communicated?
- are there few or no shops/shopping area?
Sorry to ask so many questions and to sound a bit negative/concerned about the area but it is all due to having read some funny threads about Dulwich and i am curious and interested to figure out if it is the right decision.
