Moving to Petersfield - anyone out there???

Well finally our long search seems to have paid off (fingers crossed!) we have had an offer accepted on a house just north of petersfield in Greatham (2 miles from Liss)and we should complete 8th of Feb. So the longed for move out of London is here at last - very scary...

I have contacted the council re schools and the 'mother and toddler' coordinator ( wow didn't know such people existed!!) is sending me info.

But I suppose there is no better way than making contact with people in the local area.

My dd is 2.5 and another one due end of April.

Any tips or advice re GP's and hospitals - maternity/midwife schemes etc.

Also things to do with a toddler and playgroups/good nurseries.

I will get down to the local library and stuff and am prepared to get out there because I know it is the best way!! But all help would be appreciated!!

I'm not a million miles from Liss.... just a bit further up the A3, nearer Haslemere. If you want to get in touch personally, contact Mumsnet, and ask them to pass on my email address. I'd be happy to help where I can, and introduce you! However, don't know much about local schools etc.

TLB, I live the other way, nearer Portsmouth. You have a hospital in Petersfield with maternity, sorry cant really help with groups etc although I think you might have a Tumble Tots (check their website).
