Pls do not be taken in by www.highlandtitles.com. The are selling a one foot square 'plot' of land in the Scottish Highlands for £29.99 - this equates to over £1.3million an acre when equivalent land in Scotland is £614/acre!. They claimed to be 'Not for Profit' but on being questioned, this has been removed. They claim to invest in conservation - but have given no evidence. In Scottish law a one foot square piece of land cannot be registered as having an 'owner' so they are misleading the public. Laird is a gentrified title referring to a landowner. a 'Lord' can only be decreed in the UK by the Monarch or parliament. The owner of www.highlandtitles is a tax exile in Alderney - I wonder why? Please do not be taken in by this when spending your hard-earned money on Christmas presents - it is in my view a devious way of obtaining money from people and by offering things that do not exist.
