Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have applied to a few different child modelling agencies and my daughters been accepted by bizzikids, eurokids, childsplay, talent management and kitschkids. Can anyone give me an idea which one they would go with, I am totally new to this so any help would be great.

Thanks Smile

Do you have to be with one exclusively? You'll prob get more chance of
Work if you're with more than one although I've not got any personal experience so prob not very helpful, sorry Blush

Hi! We did the same and my son got accepted to most of the same ones, which rang alarm bells a bit as obviously I reckon he's gorgeous but I was surprised by how easy it was. Be careful as a lot of them take your money but don't do all that much to promote you. We didn't go ahead in the end because my friend who was a model as a child said it gave her an unnatural sense of the importance of her look and the impression she was giving from a very young age, which made/makes her sad. I think it's harder for girls because there's such a focus on bring pretty and lovely whereas little boy models get to be noisy and messy!
Just my thoughts anyway... Congratulations on all the offers x

Oh P.S. Talent Management are dodgy! They also trade as Models Direct, and it all looks very slick and professional, but there's loads of stuff online about them just taking money and doing nothing.

I applied for my DD on a whim to Truly Scrumptious, Cheeky Monkeys and Grace & Galor about a month ago. All agencies said they were interested in representing her.

Truly Scrumptious said that they are a "work-finding service and does not charge upfront fees" yet then went on to say that subscription to the website model book is £120 per year and I would also need to pay £80 for the photo-shoot.

Cheeky Monkeys and Grace & Galor don't charge anything. I haven't done anything with Truly Scrumptious and Grace & Galor so far but we had an appointment with Cheeky Monkeys today. They made it clear that because they don't charge any fees upfront that they will only accept children that they feel will get work. They spent about 20 mins taking pictures of DD while they spoke to me about the ins and outs of everything. Today was as much about seeing how she was in front of the camera and how she interacted with them as anything else. They will let me know next week if they wish to represent her. I'm fairly happy with it all, don't feel like i've been scammed in any way.

That sounds sensible!

My daughter (17) has been accepted by Talent Management. If you read the small print you don't have to accept a 3 year contract, you can do a cheaper one for 1 year. Also, surely they must get work for some people! Still haven't committed and thinking about it.
