A warm welcome to everyone, whether you have one child, none, or ten. This is a tea-and-muffin or booze-and-sofasorcanapees sanctuary for all. But certain standards of behaviour continue to apply - anyone engaging in fisticuffs will be ejected by George Clooney, ably assisted by Mellors the Gardener.

Cheers all!

I've linked to this thread.

I have brought Mr Clooney in

Oh dear, was that the Methodist minister falling through the pond ice ?

Time for a nice coffee, a brownie and a sit down now I think. Shall I put another log on the fire ?

Blimey, who moved the tea room when I wasn't looking?!

Daisy, shall I see if I can hitch Earl Grey up to the old carriage - that should help with the move? Until I get the snow chains on the Land Rover, he's our only hope...)

"So sorry, Bishop, would you like a nice cup of tea and a visit to the sauna...no, I didn't mean it quite like that, er, umm... "

Hurrah for CMOT! I was going to make a weak joke about new cars and leather but I am so exhausted I can't!

Amber, well done, love that cart and horse - reminds me of Postman Pat's snowy day

Cake anyone? it's DH's birthday cake but he won't mind

Can I still have that cup of coffee Daisy? I've brought some bottles over that I found behind the counter - there appears to be a good variety of whiskey of varying levels up the bottle, quite a few bottles of champagne, a half empty bottle of gin, and an opened, but hardly touched, bottle of tequila... I borrowed ds's toboggan to transport them - I thought I may as well make use of it as it is needed for the children to play on the remaining snow on the hill...

Mellors, get ready to duck, MJ has been practising his snowball technique - are any other children going to help him to gang up on Mellors - who, imho should at least be prepared to occupy the children in the snow in the garden (and on their various slidy things down the hill) if he's going to be worth bringing with us to the new tearoom...

Room for a Quaker? I only ask because of all the minsters and bishops... they might object to a non-conformist donkey.

Hi Daisy - yes, feeling mostly fine thanks - it was just a last thing at night hicough... . Bother, that's a word that looks wrong however I spell it. Dratted dyslexia...

Glad to see that most people have relocated safely - hope that others will join us later as and when.

Dh feeling a bit more upbeat yesterday - he got phoned after only 30mins of having submitted a CV - and it looks as though the CV will be submitted for the job... doesn't mean that he'll get interviewed of course, and even an interview doesn't mean that he'll get the job, but at least the CV is now making an impression...

Justabout -That I have got to see! - do flying bishops flap their arms frantically, or just float serenely and graciously above the turbulent Earth?

Welcome Donk ! This is a.... hmm, was going to say ecumenical gathering, but not sure whether that excludes me - I would describe myself as a humanist.

MT - if the CV is making an impact, then thats great news. It really is the biggest hurdle to get over
