Logistics of a second baby

We have a one year old beautiful girly, I'm thinking about a second. Here's the problem. I live up five flights of stairs in a three bedroom house above a shop. We have managed just fine with one baby and the stairs. My question is where is the logistics behind having 2? Should I wait until the first can walk the stairs alone, or could I carry one baby in a sling? Or would we need to move :(

If you were to get pregnant now, baby 1 would be able to climb up stairs/bump down on bottom by the time baby 2 was here.
It is possible though to carry one in a sling and another one on hip.

Eldest will be able to hold your hand and walk up and down, and youngest in sling. We have a 15 month gap, also live in flat, and also have metal stairs outside so this is how we did it

Just go for it. You'll find a way.
18 mths between our two. No metal stairs - but you manage. You just do.
