DS is 5.

I have (mostly) successfully managed to bring him up for half a decade. Somehow.

It also occurs to me that I am no longer the parent of "a small child", he is just a child now. And he is. All of the attachment parenting stuff I did that seemed to go on forever has finished now.

It's weird isn't it? It's probably totally different if you have more than one since I expect I'd still be very much in the small child mindset now, but the baby and toddler stage being so all consuming and in the blink of an eye it's gone.

I was just saying that (well something along those lines) to DH.

We have a 5yo DS and he is changing, growing up a little bit every single day - his questions are more and more challenging, his facial expressions are getting hilarious better, his understanding of the world amazes me...

I do enjoy it all, it's fascinating, but there is a little part of me wanting him to remain at this stage for a bit longer...

My DS is 5 too. He's just got his first wobbly tooth. It feels like 2 minutes since he was getting teeth in the first place.

Our ds is 5 too (and an only). I love it mote and more as he gets older
I'm not really a baby person and love the fact that he is now just a little boy (and very cute )
