Do your parents help with childcare costs?

I can't believe how many of my friends get help from their parents with childcare fees. Most have a standing order set up going direct to their accounts, anything from £100 upwards.

I'm beginning to feel slightly hard done by! My parents wouldn't give me a tenner let alone a regular agreement.

I'm intrigued whether I just have very lucky friends or if many families help each other?

nope
but they help in lots of other ways - they buy a lot of their clothes, great things for their birthdays/christmas and help us out with our airfare when we visit

but not directly with childcare.

My parents don't contribute to DS and DDs childcrae fees. But I wouldn't expect them to either.

Our PILs helped in that they had DD once a week whilst I was working; she went to nursery the other 2 days. This was their choice to have her though.

PILs also have DD at least once a week in the school holidays, now she has satrted school. My parents help in school holidays too, but they both work FT so harder. Both sets of parents babysit regularly - again through own choice.

I would never expect help, especially financial at all.

A fair few of the parents at DD's school have grandparents contributing towards school fees. We don't and would never expect them to either.

No, not at all. In fact, my sisters and I support our mother.

Not at all, and it wouldn't cross my mind to expect it.
