Guidelines for Creche during school nativity

Hi,

Not sure if I'm on the right topic really but here goes.

Our PTA are running a free creche during the school nativities. No children are allowed in to watch.
The creche is on school premises.
I wondered if anyone knows of any guidelines for creche facilities. Things like how many children per adult ratio and what ages children can be and the relevent restrictions if you have under ones or under twos.
We are just parents running it as a favour.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for replying so quickly.
Re police checks:
Not specifically for this but some have been for other things. Not all of us are though.

The reason I ask is that although we asked parents to pre book so we new the numbers, some parents on the first performance just turned up and left their child.

I was not happy with this but I am not in charge and don't know the rules if there are any that apply in this situation. No charge is being made and it's for just over an hour.

There were 4 adults for 12 children. A 6 mth old, A 1 yr old not yet walking, 4 2yr olds, 5 3 yr olds and a 18 mth old.

Well IIRC it looks like you were well within the legal set numbers required I think its
1:3 under 2's - 1 person
1:4 or is it 5?? - 1/2 people
1:8 over 3's - 1 person

I would be more worried that everyone hadnt been police checked TBH
