Am I meant to give the nursery staff Christmas presents? If so, what kind of thing do you give and of what value?
It's a bit tricky because DS has two key workers - one fabulous one in the mornings who has been there from the start and is like a beloved granny to him; but he key worker for the afternoons has actually changed several times, the current one is OK but not anything like as important to him as "granny". After Christmas he will be moving out of the baby room so I have extra reason to want to say a big thank you to "granny". But it would look odd to give her a lovely pressie and something lesser or not at all to the other. Or do you just give something to the nursery in general? Or would it be just as good to write a heartfelt card about how much we have appreciated her?
It's not the cost I'm worried about so much, just that I find this sort of thing so awkward and embarrrassing and don't want to get it wrong. Urrrggh. Experienced nursery users, or nursery staff, what should I do?
