Could someone explain to me how Busy Bee vouchers work? Can both my dh and I claim as well?

Yes, you can, the limit set is for both you and your DH. Say your nursery costs are 300 for the month, you both apply for 150 per month, then the 150 is deducted directly from your income before you pay tax and NI, so that you are paying less in tax and NI because the income portion is lower. Hope that makes sense.

You can claim up to £243 a month each and it can be paid to different care providers so long as they're registered with Busy Bees eg nursery after school club, holiday playscheme.

Thanks it definately looks worth looking into. Will having vouchers effect the amount I get from the childcare element of the working tax credit?

Your dh can only claim if the scheme is offered by his employer.

Dh and I have different schemes which we are applying for a the moment - bit of an administrative headache!

Their website is pretty good
