Premeditated change of nursery - thoughts pls

My DD has just turned 2 & I would like to resume my career for just a few hours a week come summer end. I am keen on her attending our local Montessori preschool but it unfortunately has no availability for her until February.

An neighbouring nursery does however have places available for her to start this September.

With no other children I have no experience so am wondering if I should wait until February ( something I can do but would like to schedule in some time for myself/work before then) and start her at the montessori or start her at the neighbouring nursery and change her come Feb? I suppose my question is, is the latter option, should I plump for it, going to have a significantly bothersome affect on my 2 year old?

Any thoughts/guidance, gratefully received.

Thanks for the thought Loletta, it´s funny because the reception I received when I called the Montessori nursery was aloof and felt inauthentic but the lesser ofsted rated, non montessori, no frills nursery received me on the phone with warmth and good cheer, so you have a valid point that may come to influence my decision.

I think tbh I´m perhaps being a little overs swayed by all things Montessori, but have heard such incredible things. My DD is my only child and will be, so I a, at pains to reflect carefully on decisions, even one´s as seemly trite as this.

The nursery my DC goes to is "good", and there is an outstanding nursery which draws on a similar catchment and even if you put the child's name down the second you get a positive test you might have to wait for a space.

My DC's nursery get a fair few people using them until space comes up at the other- a good 50% decide to stay.

Have a look at both and see what you think.
