Hi I wonder if anyone could help? I am looking to start my level 3 childcare and I'm at the moment not working.I need a min of 16 hours volunteers placement but will need at least half of these hours to be on a weekend as I've got two children one of is still a baby and my husband works mon-fri. I can find childcare for 4/8 hours in the week but will need a full day on sat or sun. I'm really struggling to find anyone who offers weekend childcare in North Surrey. I've even been looking at taking him with me to the playschool but can't really afford that. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful!! If I am unable to find a place I will have to drop out of this course. Thanks sophie

Have you tried sports clubs/gyms? They sometimes have a creche that would be open on a Saturday.

Ikea have a creche that is open on a weekend I think?

I can't think of any nurseries that are open on a Saturday.

Maybe a local hospital nursery/creche?

Some daycares near Gatwick do overnight and weekends, sports centres a good idea.

Think it was one of the Cranbrook group settings but not sure they do it any more looking at website. Do any of your local Surestarts have activities at weekends you could help with? Do you actually need 16 pw or 16 hours over the duration of the course ? Does your local hospital have a staff crèche ?

I will be spending my Monday on the phone trying everyone. I was told I would need 3 hrs aweek over a yr to 18 months then I sign up as that would be perfect to then be told I need a min of 2/3 days aweek adding up to 16hrs or more aweek. That's impossible with a husband at work ft 1 child in school and a 1 yr old at home I will still have to fit in study groups and all of the coursework. I was really looking forward to getting back to work doing something for myself but I'm now thinking it might be all to much to juggle? I'm still going to try!!
