Kids Allowed any good?

We have been looking for nurseries in the Stockport area and we are favouring he Kids Allowed in Stockport. However on a trip with a colleague to the Cheadle Kids Allowed we actually prefer the atmosphere of the Cheadle branch more and colleague had nothing but praise for them.
It's further away from home but kind of on the way to my work. It's also more expensive than the Cheadle branch as well.
I was wondering whether anyone has had experience of any of the two Kids Allowed or any views on either nurseries as we are struggling to decide between the two!

Thanks!

I would say go with your gut instinct, only you know what you are looking for and what feels right.

I looked at the Stockport one when looking for a new nursery to move my son to as I wasn't happy with where he was, it wasn't right for my ds (he is 3 and better suited to a smaller environment), but I've heard good reports for KA and really liked it. Bear in mind the Stockport one is very new, so the atmosphere might just not have developed fully yet.

Another thing to think about is how long your child will be in the car for, as after a long day at nursery I have found a short car trip always suited DS better (fighting to keep him awake, grumpy and tired, hungry etc).

I would agree that Stockport is so new that it will be finding its feet. Short journey every time

My children go to the Cheadle Kids Allowed and we love it! It's a really great nursery, I can't sing its praises loudly enough, never had any problems there and the staff are just lovely. It has been around a lot longer than stockport so the staff/culture will be more established although I don't really know much about the stockport one. What age is your child?

HONEST REVIEW:
I've worked as a male In Stockport Kids Allowed, I've recently left and I cannot tell you how relieved I am. Why you ask? Here is a small list of reasons why you should avoid them....

  1. They don't treat special educational needs children, instead they treat them as a second priority and never allow them to join in properly with any activity, they are deemed as a nuisance rather than a child worthy of attention and support/love.

  2. Staff lie to you, suprise suprise. The amount of times I've been told " tell them the child had a lovley time" is ridiculous... the feedback is very loose and you don't really get any "moments" which are pictures telling you what your child is up to during the day. And when you do its a random picture with a caption saying something that isn't really fitting. So LIES LIES LIES!!!

  3. we all have our favourites for sure. And your child might be lucky enough to have some extra attention.... sound wrong? Well fear not, because no child because majority of staff don't care, they simply see them as a number and if staff are stressed guess who they take it out on?

  4. Management, who are they? Don't know I've seen many people come and go so fast that it's hard to count. Management knows this and yet we don't get staff in the rooms of the right ratio which means UNQUALIFIED STAFF are LEFT ALONE with YOUR CHILD!!!!!!!! I cannot overstate how this is such a hazard 😭 oh and ILLEGAL.

    Last one promise
  5. behaviour management, okay so with this it's as it sounds, staff DO NOT put in place correct tactics as It were to help children that bite, that hit etc. Yeah within a room there is 25 children or more and combined with the room next door it's like 50 plus. So there are going to be accidents. But we as staff although get hit and slapped, bitten ourselves even cut, because we leave children with scissors ✂️ 🙄 , we can do more to not have these accidents.

So when you complain to us RIGHTLY SO! They will bitch behind your back and when they are done justifying themselves staff go cry, which is childish quite honestly.

Thanks for reading this review hope you found it insightful...

    You wanna know some pros?
  6. good food 😋 your child will get a good meal
  7. 1 staff if your lucky like myself make an effort to actually play/educate your child.
  8. graduation pics are cute
  9. they go on trips even though its rare
  10. the staff are nice to your face 😆
