I'm sooooo angry!

Fucking nursery not taking food allergies seriously.

My DD has a food intolerance to egg. I also have this except mine is quite severe and makes me very sick. My daughter reacts with diarrhoea and even if she is cleaned immediately she ends up with the worst nappy rash, it looks like scalding on her bottom.

Well after a day at nursery yesterday she started with diarrhoea today and her bum was so sore she couldnt even sit in the bath tonight. my husband has just come in from work, her nursery diary was left in his car and i cant believe it, she had cake and custard for pudding yesterday lunch! This is the 3rd time this has happened. I am just so angry, it's not fucking rocket science. It happened once, I had words but gave them the benefit of the doubt (it was miscommunication). Second time, I had serious words with the manager and owner and explained to them that the more they expose my baby to her allergy the worse it is going to get. As a child care provider they need to take these things serious. People can die! I am a nurse, I could loose my job if I ever did this.

My poor girl has fallen asleep with her bottom in the air. This is not fair.

I am seriously thinking of removing her. I am in the middle of googling whether I could take legal action. That may seem extreme but it seems so unprofessional. It's frightening really.

That's awful! I would move her and report them. And tear a few strips off them too. No excuse for that.

They're obviously not competent if the reaction is as bad as it sounds.

Once is an accident.
Twice is negligent.
Three times.....I don't know, but there's no excuse. Hope she's better quickly.

Who would I report too ofsted?

If you go to the ofsted website there is an email address. I reported dd's old nursery and it was pretty straightforward.

I think you should complain to the nursery first, in writing. Ofsted rules say they should keep all written complaints and they have to show them to ofsted if they ask. They also have to have a complaints proceedure which they are supposed to inform parents of.
I would also email or phone ofsted too.
The nursery should have very straight forward proceedures to follow in the case of allergies/ intolerences.
What they have done is inexcusable and very unprofessional.

Utterly unacceptable. My DD and DS have the same with egg and dairy and in 2.5 years the only dairy DD has had was a spoon of yogurt she pinched from another child.

It's negligence. Our nursery have food allergies and intolerances on the children's personalised mats. They all have them but it's a great aid to the nursery workers when a food is so clearly off limits and it's reinforced every meal time.

Poor baby.
