Baby's first session in nursery today and ...

... it was fine. :) The staff were warm and friendly and I felt confident handing her over. She was as good as gold and I almost forgot I'd had her - got engrossed in some work at home and picked her up 15 minutes late. Blush

Never had ANYWAY look after her until today (she is 6 months) but it was great.

Just wanted to make a positive post for those who are worrying about impending returns to work!

Well done! I think when they are young they really don't have a problem with it as long as someone is giving the love and attention. My dd went to Nursery 3 days a week from 7 months and was always very happy. Very important to find the right Nursery though which is often easier said than done. My dd was always being played with whenever I picked her and I made a conscious decision to pick her up at very different times to try and catch them out.

Sally I know what you mean! This is the nursery that my 3 year old attends and they have been excellent - having confidence in their quality of care is crucial, I agree.

My older one started at 9 months are the separation was much harder - I am hoping that starting this one earlier will make settling in a little easier.
