recently my daughter private nursery took her out for a walk along a busy main road, too many children to carer ration, but main point being i actually filled out and signed a form stating that all activities out of nursery grounds for my dd MUST be okayed by me first, i bollocked, they apologised said it wouldnt happen again.

get there today 5 mins before pick up time..no kids!
ask where dd is..assistant manager "oh, they've popped out"...effing popped out!!!
i got back in car, drove round area to see if i could see her, couldnt.
got back to nursery, no one not even the ass manager and manager who where previously busy doing their shopping on asda website!
had to wait outside till dd came back 15 mins after pick up time.
she was happy, carers where fine..ok, im going to be calm!
got into room to collect belongings and one of the less senior staff came and said it was her fault, she apologised and said X(the manager) had just told her that she shouldnt have taken dd!!!!!!
manager no where to be seen, ass manager skulking in wings and there was i apologising for my being over protective and its okShockAngry.
i dont mind the outings, but why get me to sign a form to say i want a heads up, when they've not going to read it in the first place or not take any noticeAngryAngry

I would have gone bonkers Angry don't know how you kept your cool. I'm sure the nursery my dd is at have taken her out when I said she had to stay in the nursery grounds, one of the girls let something slip about some place they often go to and how she liked it, didn't twig until recently (i'm very dim since having dd along with pushing her out my brain must have followed) anyway she is leaving soon coz i've given up work so I'm not saying anything, you need an apology from the manager and threaten them with ofsted too that should get their asses into gear and sort themselves out

im a bit like 'i wish id said this and that', i think i was too shocked it had happend again and sinse dd having prob with speech recently and am told no confrontational occurances around her, didnt want to go back in today and blast her.
so ive just sent her a very discretly sarcastic email, saying i didnt think it was up to 'staff' to decide who go's out, more the management as they have the access to records and they should check before any children leave building.

am so very angry with them and myself for not saying something yesterday and when they said dd had 'just popped out'!! WTF, shes not 3 yet, wheres she gone?,.to the shop with her mates??!

dd is also leaving soon, so will see how it go's..might actually call manager now!

oh my god!

just spoke to manager and it seems she didnt even know they had left the building!!WTF
she said she asked ass manager where they were, she said outside, when they looked no one!
i said this was worse as i made her look like she didnt know what was going on!

dp thinks i should report them to ofsted?
dd has about a months and a bit left there, and i do trust them normally, but im in a dilema!

Report them to OFSTED - what they are doing is just not good enough, this is your child, not some transferable baggage, they need to learn to respect parents wishes as well as holding out their hands for parents money...

"came back 15 mins after pick up time"

DSs private daycare nursery used to fine us £1 per minute for being late...

i have!

after speaking to dp, i then spoke to my childminding team tutor who advised me to carry it out as she deemed it important enough.
rang them and she was shocked and appaled at their behaviour and lack of responsability from the manager.

i gave her my details, but she said no names will be given.

and monday morning, im going to speak to manager and let her know that i wont be sending dd any more because of the two incidents!, i dont feel i can trust them and i dont believe they have dd's best interests at heart or are irresponsable whatever, they are not doing their job properly and i cant trust them with the most precious thing in my life.

have spoken to dd and explained that as shes now almost 3 and a big girl, she doesnt need to go to xxx anymore and will soon be going to the really fantastic better nursery for the bigger boys and girls!, she seems happy enough with this..and thats the main thing!
