Nappy rash

My DD had her trial session at her new nursery today (2hrs). When I went to pick her up I could smell she had had a poo.... when I changed her at home the nappy was full to bursting point and she had dreadful nappy rash. I am very concerned the staff had not noticed and changed her. She starts officially on Monday, do I say something, or give them the benefit of the doubt. I really don't want to come across as a moany mum from the start. Any suggestions?

how old is she? 2 hrs doesn't seema long time for her to have completely soaked a nappy to bursting point.
i would make sure she is put in a clean one straight before you take her in.

having said that i do think that staff should have noticed that it needed changing.
i would give them the benefit of the doubt this time, but if it happens again then speak to them...

presumably you send nappies in with her?

She's 22 mths, and I had changed her about 5 mins before we left for the nursery. I just found it a bit frustrating because I had mentioned to the staff that she did tend to poo in the afternoon, and I feel like I had wasted my breath.

yeah,,, i can understand how you feel,
see how it goes would be my advice. if it happens again just ask them if they would like you to send more nappies or something.... broach it gently!
