Hi, just wondering if anyone here has children at nurseries that offer weekend places? Ours is stictly Monday-Friday which is great if those are your working hours, my dh works shifts and, invariably, weekends. Also, I am now finding it quite a struggle trying to fit in a swimming class&gym class in which are both during the week, as well as nursery sessions. Would really love some weekend nursery sessions, anybody know of nurseries that do this please? Oh, we are in Cheshire! Thanks in advance,

There are very few nurseries that offer Weekend care. The only one I know of is Jumping Jacks in Wigton, Cumbria

Some shopping centres and lesiure centres have creche's that operate at weekends, so you could perhaps get an hour or so child-free time.

Some childminders offer weekend care. I do - but am nowhere near Cheshire. Maybe some local to you would be able to assist?

We live fairly near Gatwick and I know some of the ones near the airport do as lots of people do shifts. They also offer special rates for people in the police. So maybe look near an airport?

There is one in Cheshire I have seen advertised. I think it is attached to a gym place, it will bug me now until I remember the name.

Teddies Nursery at Walsall Manor Hospital opens 7.00am - 9.00pm Monday - Saturday

Thanks all for your replies, will probably try a nursery at the airport to see if they offer anything. Never worked out why nurseries don't offer weekend cover really, I'm sure my dh is not alone in working weekends. I guess it's just not financially viable unless they have enough families needing weekend cover. Thanks again,
