SpiritedPuddleJumper · 04/06/2014 21:34

New post on the blog today, with my experience of what happened to me when breastfeeding went wrong.

Would love to hear other thoughts and experiences!

No buns fights allowed though- this isn't a BF vs BotF post! Grin

My first baby was easy to breastfeed. She latched on and pretty much didn't let go for 7.5 months. I hated every minute of it and it made me depressed. The PND miraculously cleared up about a week after I stopped breastfeeding.

I started off breastfeeding my second baby but it was all kinds of wrong right from the start. It was awful, really hurt, he wouldn't open his mouth wide enough etc. I felt the gloom descending and I'm pretty certain PND would have kicked in again. He was fully on formula by two weeks. It was the right decision, but I still find myself giving long detailed answers about why I'm not breastfeeding him Blush

TheJoyfulPuddleJumper Are we related?! Wink A fabulous name you sport!

Beccajoh It's such a shame many women feel they have to give detailed answers/excuses as to why they aren't BF, it shouldn't be something to feel embarrassed about Sad
