Garnier Ambre Solaire have asked us to find out what you think about applying sun lotion/cream to your child(ren) and yourself.

The survey is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child.

Everyone who takes part and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win £200 of vouchers for John Lewis.

Oh dear that one made me feel a bit guilty about not thinking about sun cream more!

Must also remember to buy suncream tomorrow!

Done.

I think there should be more space for comments on the survey. There was nowhere that I could clarify that although fastidious about applying sunscreen, I do make sure that DS has at least 20 minutes of unprotected sun-exposure on a sunny day (although before 11am or after 3pm) for Vit D purposes. And that we try to stay in shaded areas during the middle of the day.

Also, we are more likely to spend time outside if it is sunny as it is rather cold up here otherwise. So although I would apply sunscreen on amcloudy day of spending time outside, it is less likely that we would.

Perhaps another question would be also to say what type of colouring you have and what factor you use?

That bit with the drop down selections bored me to tears. I had to give up.

I want to protect my Dc's from harmful rays, but it's very expensive to buy decent screens and last year, I managed to completely ruin two of Dd's most beautiful dresses using a spray version of the above mentioned sun screen Angry. It doesn't bloody well come out in the wash!!!

Done but the question about when your child is at school I had trouble answering. I would put it on before school but I don't know what the school policy is yet (it's her first year at nursery & hasn't cropped up yet)

Done, but the question "do you feel guilty about sunbathing?" is like "when did you stop beating your wife?". I don't feel guilty, because I don't do it! :)

Done but it was a badly put together survey

No space for not sunbathing or for a child to apply their own suncream before school.

I now look like a bitch because I use factor 15 moisturiser every day but don't always use sun cream on my dcs Grin. Plus I only use it on my face and make sure I get my legs out to make some vit D.

Done. It needs more space for comments though. Ds is allergic to most sunblocks so we usually keep covered up and stay in the shade. He doesn't get sunburn.

AMbre soleil is the only suncream DD wasn't allergic to when she was little, it didn't have so much MDGB (preservative) in it as the rest (I think that's what it was - she is much less sensitive now)
Still always buy it out of habit!
