We have been asked by the team at Renault to find two lucky MNers to put the new Renault ZOE to the MN test!

Renault say "our five-seat supermini, ZOE, has shaken up the electric car market thanks to its eye-catching looks, futuristic cabin design and attractive purchase price.

Now, as part of a Renault promotion, we’re pleased to be giving two Mumsnet members a chance to test drive a Renault ZOE for a week for a promotional film.

We’ll deliver the car to you and fit a Z.E.-ready wallbox at your home (you’ll need off-street parking). The car will be fitted with cameras to record your experience of living with the ZOE, and we’ll give you an iPad to keep a daily diary of your week.

After seven days, we’ll return to make a video of your electric experience. And, as an added incentive, you can keep the iPad.

The Renault ZOE offers a maximum driving range of 120 miles, funky looks, a practical cabin and generous standard equipment. There’s even a smartphone app that lets you monitor charge levels and even pre-heat or cool the interior of the car.

It has also been awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP passive safety tests, with a best-in-class overall score of 85%, and also has a passenger airbag that can be deactivated to fit a car seat, while you can enjoy the reassurance of 24/7 roadside assistance, even if you run out of charge".

The edited videos will be used by Renault in further promotion: your real life name will be used.

If you'd like to take part - please read the T&Cs below - then, if that works for you - please add your details on this form.

We will send anon reasons for wanting to take part to Renault and they will pick their selected MNers - we will then send over contact details and Renault will be in touch with them directly to make the arrangements!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. To enter, add 200 words on why you’d be perfect for the Renault video to on this form. 2. Entries close at 23:59 BST Wednesday 11th June 2014. 3. The prize is the use of a Renault Zoe for seven days in July 2014 (exact dates TBC). An electric car charge point will be permanently fitted on your property (it will not be removed post project). Winners will require off street parking for the vehicle. Winner will also receive an ipad for use during the project and can be kept post project. 4. Winners must be available for a 2 hour window to receive and return the vehicle. During this window the winner will be asked questions on their experience of the Zoe and their reactions filmed. There will be permanent cameras set up inside the vehicle recording the winner driving. Winners also commit to producing a daily video diary on a ipad supplied to them that can be kept by the winner post project. 5. Competition only open to UK residents. 6. No cash alternative. Prizes are non-transferable. 7. Entrants must be over the age of 18 at the time of entry and posses a full UK driving license. 8. Hi there, I would love to be considered for this. I feel like I'm permanently in the car at the moment, doing the school runs; food shopping; going to swimming lessons and taking my toddler to play dates! When my 3 year old saw the power charge points in our local Waitrose car park he thought the sound of electric cars were amazing! I'd love to make his awe and wonder a reality by trying one out for real. Our family car is currently a Renault so we love them already! The Zoe looks über stylish and would look very impressive parked up on our drive way; I've always wanted to impress the other mums with a fancy shiny new car, if only for a week! I am a teacher and a mummy who writes a parenting and lifestyle blog. Thank you for the opportunity.

Would love to try this as I'm looking to buy a car at the moment and currently haven't considered an electric car. I would really enjoy driving it and it would increase the likelihood of me purchasing one of your cars. I have off-street parking and lots of nosy neighbours who would be interested in hearing all about it!

Electric, safe and funky - that's why me and my brood would like to test the ZOE. Electric cars are the future and this would be an ideal opportnity to educate the kids while nipping about in an ultra sleek Renault - bags of fun to be had whilst doing our bit for the planet.

I already drive a Zoe. Your only problem will be getting the tester to give it back after a week! Grin

I'm really interested in trying a more environmentally friendly car as I am a company car driver. I am currently paying tax on a benefit in kind charge of over £8k (including fuel) and would love to reduce that when it is time to change my current car.

I would love to be considered for this, my DH is really keen on an electric car for our soon to be purchased second car and I'm not sure. We do lots of different types of driving, to nursery and work and also for days out so we would put it through its paces!!

I'd love to try a Zoe. I've been thinking about an electric car but am worried about the practicalities of charging the car up, running out of charge, etc. how easy would it be to make sure you don't run outof charge?

I commute 8 miles each way most days, then trips to the supermarkets, taking the bikes to the forest at weekends, etc. so a variety of usage.

I would love to test one as we're constantly in the car doing short strips or the trip up to my mums which is half an hour each way. Because they'er country roads it drains the petrol in the car and I'd love to see if it really would save money & if its really as eco friendly as advertised!

I'd love to give it a go as I'm intrigued to see how far electric car technology has got. We use a car for a variety of uses from school runs to hobbies. I'm also considering whether or not we need two large cars and I am considering trading one for a runaround.

I love the idea of this as DH is considering an electric car for his next company car.

He's away ATM so I can't ask him my (probably daft) question so hopefully MNHQ can!

Here goes! Will the Z-E ready wall box charger thing that will be fitted be suitable for other makes of electric car that we may own in the future, or is it Renault specific?

DS wants to know will we be able to charge it at Ikea (he's seen the special parking spaces there!)?

Hi,
I am currently looking to purchase a car as it's been difficult with 2 LO's. What better way to test something? I have a driveway and am very eco friendly, love the idea of an electric car and helping to shape this future development.

Would love to try an electric car, don't think I've ever seen a charging point anywhere near me though.
