Baby monitors

Hi, I'm new to this site and am hoping someone can help..! Can anyone tell me if there is a baby monitor (pref video too) that keeps a constant audio without turning off after a few seconds? I can hear my baby if she cries as we live in the same house..! So that's not what concerns me - I don't need the monitor to alert me to sound I can already hear! What I want to listen out for is when I can't hear her.. Monitors all seem to alert the user to when there is sound above a certain level. Can anyone please suggest a product that just stays on?
