NOW CLOSED Mumsnetters needed to test drive the NEW Toyota Verso. Find out more here

We're very excited to be working with Toyota over the next year to celebrate their great range of family cars and we are even more excited to announce that the first thing we're doing is getting MNers behind the wheel of the all new Toyota Verso!

Do you fancy trying out the 7 seat Verso for a fortnight and telling us what you think? You can find out more info about the Verso here - here's what Toyota would like to say about the car: "When it comes to practicality, the Verso is a mum's best friend. Its Easy Flat 7 seating system makes switching between a carload of school friends to a boot full of buggies, a breeze. Thankfully, that doesn't mean it compromises on style and with a sharper, sleeker design, this car creates a powerful presence both on the road and behind the wheel."

Specifically, we're looking for Mumsnetters who have at least 2 children under 10 years and who use the family car to drive their children around most days e.g to/from school, after school activities etc.

The test drives are going to be split into two waves - 4-17 May and 18 May - 1 June, so please only apply if you are around for the duration of one of these waves, and indicate on the sign up form (link below) which wave you'd prefer.

If you're selected to take part, you'll need to pick up the car at your local dealership and Toyota will then arrange to pick the car up from your home at the end of the test.

Testers will be required to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet throughout the duration of the test drive. Additionally, we'd like 5 testers to provide video feedback via their smart phone to demonstrate the versatility of the Verso, so get your thinking caps on for how to show this in a fun and creative way! The 5 testers who are chosen to provide video feedback will each receive a £30 Love2shop voucher as an additional thank you.
The videos will be hosted on the Mumsnet YouTube channel, used on Toyota's pages on MN and possibly elsewhere.

Now the important stuff
In order to take part in the test drive, you must:
~ be a UK resident
~ be aged 25 years old or over
~ hold a valid UK driving license
~ have no convictions for dangerous driving.
A driver declaration form will need to be completed; proof of identification and a valid driving licence (both photocard if applicable and paper part) will also need to be presented upon collection of vehicle and continue to be valid before the winner can take the test drive.

If you'd like to take part please sign up here.

We'll be in touch with the chosen few by Monday 29th April. If you're not picked this time, there will be plenty more opportunities to test drive other Toyota models later in the year - keep an eye out for these!

Thanks and good luck!

MNHQ

Done. I bought a ford s-max over a verso as it didn't fit 3 full size carseats. Be very interesting to see how it compares now my eldest are in boosters.

Do you have to be at home for the two week period? We will be on the Isle of Wight for some of the first one and Cornwall for the second.

Do have to have licence for 3 years for insurance or is that only the additional driver? As I would love to do this.

Will fill it in just incase.

Aww, why the insistence for two+ children, Toyota?

We only have one child at present, but are looking at getting a bigger car (the Verso is actually on our shortlist). The reasoning is because we have very regular additional passengers including aging/disabled/carless close family and friends.

Families come in all shapes and sizes, and requirements can vary by commitments and circumstances. You don't need more than one child to require a bigger car!

Surely seeing feedback from a car loaded with a child, parents and grandparents would also demonstrate the versability of the Verso?

Imflabulous I think you've missed off the second half of your reason for wanting to take part. PM me with what you'd like to say and I'll add it.

GwendolineMaryLacey you only need to be around on the specific days to pick up/drop off the car, other than that we don't mind where you go Smile

Done. We have joint custody of DSS so I've chosen the dates where we'll have him as well to make up the numbers!

Do you have to be an MNer to drive it? I don't have a full licence but DH does and we'd love to be able to take part.

Leonie Me too as we have one and really like it. It's a squeeze for 7 but 2 adults and 4 DC fit very nicely in it and it's handy for days out when the DC take a friend each. I hope the testers like it.
