  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I loved the fact the slices were 'toaster' sized so got an even toasting! Liked the packaging. Like that it seems quite versatile

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or
    disliked about the product?

Dd would have liked more fruit in it. Ds is just out of hospital and it made a great snack for him, he liked that it was smaller in size and liked the texture before toasting

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes. I didn't know that! I know it's a breakfast item, but it fits just as well for us, as an after school snack!

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I already buy kingsmill bread, but I'm not aware of other kingsmill products. Will have a look when I next do a shop. Muffins sound good.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes. Already recommended to some friends, and the nurses on ds ward too. We have another loaf to go, so will offer to visitors. We really liked this!

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Yummy, half way between bread and a tea cake and I liked the packaging. Initially thought the loaves were quite small but 1/2 slices toasted was a good snack. Wasn't sure it was as versatile as normal bread (as most of ours gets made into sandwiches) until I started considering brie and cold meats.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DS1 not keen on raisins and refused to try it. DS2 liked it very much and even ate the crusts (highly unusual!)

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes, we are trying to eat more healthily so this message would appeal to me, however we normally eat wholegrain seeded and I would guess that this is not as healthy. However as an alternative to a cake that message would definitely be appealing.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

POssibly to use as a convenient snack as it can be toasted straight out the freezer and it is different to other bread products. I don't normally buy bagels so wouldn't consider this as an alternative.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend as I thought it was delicious and different.

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
The texture was a little dry, I don't think it would be that nice 'raw' but it toasted very nicely. But I found the taste very disappointing. I was hoping for something tasting like a teacake or hot cross bun, but I thought it just tasted generically 'sweet' without any particular flavour.

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DS1 refused to try it as it 'smelled funny'. DS2 really liked it toasted with butter, but he'll eat anything Grin

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
No - they have plenty of wholegrain in their diet anyway (wholemeal toast for breakfast, brown bread sandwiches or rolls for lunch most days).

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I would not buy them because I don't think they tasted very nice, if I want a fruity bread product I would buy teacakes, malt loaf or hot cross buns instead. In general for breakfast/lunches I would rather my children have bread without added sugar.

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, I don't think it stands out as a good enough product to recommend.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
Packaging nice but a little similar to normal bread so Dh got a bit confused. It smelt lovely! Was great toasted with butter - tastes like tea cakes. It made a nice change not to just have sultanas in a bread product. Like the idea of having a loaf in the freezer to toast for weekend breakfasts.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD and DS1 both liked it and had it toasted for breakfast. The incredibly fussy DS2 liked it but picked the fruit out. DD said to tell you it's lovely but she thought the fruit should be less visible. DS1 seemed to get wind from it (but he did have four slices).

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why? Not really as I know they have a good diet already.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not? I might if it was cheap. It didn't feel really healthy as it was so sweet - the DC did ask why they were suddenly allowed to have cake for breakfast! The bagels sound yum, I would definitely try them.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think I would probably say it was lovely and like a tea cake loaf - nice for treats. I certainly wouldn't be extolling it's health benefits....

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I was a little surprised at the size, a very small loaf of small bread which wouldn't last 5 mins in this house... we've nearly finished the 2 loaves, with breakfast and after school snacks. That aside Dh and I were both slightly disappointed by the lack of flavour...despite all the visible fruit, it didn't really taste of anything. It doesn't compare favourably with toasted teacakes or hot cross buns. Dh thought it would make excellent summer pudding.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
Ds1 thought is was delicious.. he's eaten the vast majority. Ds2 didn't like the smell which he thought was strange ,... (it does smell strongly of cranberries)
He ate it and said he enjoyed it, but refused it this morning.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
No, we too have a good diet and plenty of wholegrain.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
It really depends on its pricing, but I think it's unlikely... it just doesn't compete with something like New York Bagel company's Cinnamon and raisin bagel on the flavour stakes

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
No.. It's not a special enough product unfortunately.

Thanks for letting me try it though :)

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Overall it was a hit in our house, All of the kids tried it and so did I. We had it toasted with butter for breakfast. I think a slightly larger loaf would be better as the size that it is doesn't go far with four kids.

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Three of them really enjoyed it, one ate it but wasn't overly wowed. The older two said they would like more fruit in it and that adding pineapple would make it extra great.

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

The kids eat wholegrain bread anyway so the fibre content wouldn't make me more likely to buy it but I think it would appeal to people who's kids usually prefer white bread.

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I think we would buy it now and again and would try the other products in the range as we all liked this product. We wouldn't buy it regularly though as one entire loaf was used just for breakfast so it would get pretty pricey as a regular thing. The older two aged 7 & 10 ate 3 slices each, the younger two aged 5 & 2 had 2 slices and that left the crusts for me.

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think I would recommend this to other people as it was very tasty and made a nice change to plain toast.

1 - My overall impression was positive. Good sized slices, and a nice combination of fruit. Perhaps a little more fruit would be good. Good either toasted or just cold with butter.

2 - My children enjoyed it too. A good snack to have straight after school, rather than raiding the biscuit tin!

3 - Yes, I think the healthy message would help persuade me to choose this product.

4 - I would buy it at the right price! To be honest, I tend to choose the products that are on offer, but if this was at a competitive price, I would certainly consider it.

5 - I would certainly give postive feedback if asked. Not sure I'd specifically recommend it over other similar products.

Thanks for letting me be part of the taste test :-)

) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Surprised at the initial smell as it seemed very sweet for something aimed at breakfast. I loved the taste when toasted - like a slice of toasted teacake - fruity and malty. Wouldn't have guessed it was wholemeal.

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

They loved it Smile - had to limit quantities as they would have happily eaten a lot! They both loved the fruit, and enjoyed in both toasted & untoasted (me & dh much prefered toasted)

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

As a breakfast option, no, wouldn't work - too sweet for me, except as a weekend treat. We tend to have wholemeal cereals anyway (eg. fruit and fibre!), so it would feel les rather than more healthy. Not sure if that's true, but it seemed sweet, and once they've added half a tub of butter, can't believe it's that good for you! But as an after school snack/treat, I'd defn consider it - if the price is right - esp as dcs enjoyed it so much. And in that role, it would feel like a reasonably healthy option

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

See above - yes as an afterschool treat/weekend breakfast. Would defn look at muffins and bagels too (we used to buy raisin & cinnamon bagels

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes as a teatime treat - based more on yummy-ness than healthiness though.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
We all really liked it, the second loaf had loads more fruit than the first one though.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
Both DS age 7 and DD age 2 enjoyed the bread, had it for supper and both wanted it again at breakfast time.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
The message doesn't mean a lot to me to be honest. It wouldn't make me more likely to buy the product again.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
Yes I would be likely to buy it again and the other items in the range, the price would have to be right though as I shop to a very tight budget.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have told a couple of friends about it already and they will probably try it.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I thought it was OK but a bit light and fluffy, and a bit sweet. I prefer fruity bread with a heavier wholemealy sort of texture.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

The dc liked it very much. They ate the first loaf in a few minutes. Rave reviews from them. They liked the blueberries in it.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Not particularly as my dc eat mostly wholemeal bread anyway so they get wholegrain in that. And they eat plenty of fruit already.

Yes, might do, also might buy muffins. I woudl probaby buy it as an occasional change as the dc liked it.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I really like the concept behind it, but thought the product was let down by flavour.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

The kids didn't really like it I'm afraid. One DS just picked out all the fruit and ate that, and the other made various efforts to chuck it on the floor / conceal it about his person ...

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I think this message would definitely encourage me to purchase the product. Healthy eating is very important to me - but really I want the family to enjoy eating it!

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I'm afraid not. I was not at all keen on the flavour - which was a shame because I really wanted to like the product (I like the idea behind it). To be honest I found the bread far too sweet - tasting a lot of sugar and not much else. Some cinnamon or something would really add to the flavour. This would not stop me trying other related products though - in the hope that they would taste better!

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Overall impression was ok - not particularly strong flavours (could have been fruitier for me) and too sweet for my liking

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

I tested this on all my dcs - 5 of them aged from 13-4 and a friend who was over for the evening. All of them loved it. dd1 aged 13 had it for breakfast which was good as she refuses to eat cereal and plain toast, but will eat croissants etc. They all raved about it.

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

no. we have a good diet anyway. Also, I'm not very convinced that this product is at all healthy sorry!

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would have a problem buying this because it is white bread - we generally eat only wholemeal, and I suspect the sugar content is fairly high. I prefer unrefined, wholemeal, unsweetened stuff! I may buy it occasionally for weekend breakfasts or after school snacks.

I didn't know there was a Fruit & Fibre range, but will see what is in it! It may be that there is something in the range that would be good to have for after school snacks.

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

again, probably not because I prefer to give the children wholemeal/unrefined stuff and don't really like my children eating stuff with added sugar. (I wouldn't mind knowing how much sugar is added). Would be interested in knowing how much this will cost.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I loved it. It was soft, fresh and tasted lovely.
When I signed up, I was just happy to get a useful freebie and didn't think I would enjoy it that much.
When I opened the first packet, I was blown away with the fragrance! I gobbled up a couple of slices even though it was almost dinner time ;)
We used to live near a bakery when I was younger, and I remember eating fruit bread that tasted very similar.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or
    disliked about the product?

My DD (4) said she liked the smell (yum!) and softness. Sadly, she is not a fan of unexpected lumps in food, and did not want to try eating the bread once she saw the fruit.
She got around it by first picking out all the fruit, eating just the bread and THEN eating the fruit!

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes, definitely. We eat a lot of processed grains - white bread, polished rice and so on and this is a healthier, tastier alternative.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes, but not on a regular basis. Maybe once a month for a change? The bread is overall sweet in taste, and does not suit sandwich making.
BUT it's a super base for baking - especially bread and butter pudding, which is what I used my second loaf for!

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would. It's a fast, convenient and tasty way to get fruit and fibre into those pesky little kids at breakfast time!

Got mine yesterday, we have had some last night as a snack after school - not toasted, and again today for breakfast, toasted with butter.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Overall I like the flavour and it made really lovely toast. However, I would have like a bit more flavour - maybe something like cinnamon or other sweet spices, like teacakes do.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD2 had it 'raw' and toasted, says it's really yummy both ways.

No, I am not concerned about this because we get plenty of fruit and veg etc anyway and also have wholemeal bread as standard already.

Yes I would buy it, it was a hit in this house.Bagels sound nice, as I said before though, I would prefer a bit more spice.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not

Yes I would recommend it, if such a topic came up. It was pleasant enough and made a change from ordinary wholemeal toast.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Very nice, smells good and the packaging was eye-catching enough. Perhaps the loaf could have been a bit bigger. I struggled to stop eating it!

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or
    disliked about the product?

Perfect size for my 20-month-old DD and she liked the taste, she's a big fan of raisins and small fruit so she seemed very happy with it. She kept pointing out the bits of fruit to me!

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes (if true), as it makes me feel that she is eating healthily.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would definitely consider buying it as an alternative to normal bread. I like fruit bagels (I usually buy the american style ones) so they would really appeal as well.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I have done so already, as I like the product and the taste. It might appeal to kids who find ordinary bread a bit boring so I have recommended to friends.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked that it was smaller slices so it looked different to normal bread. I thought it tasted good on the first day but by day 2 it was already feeling a bit dry and needed toasting.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD liked it with butter but on day 2 I toasted it and served with butter and she didn't like it. DS1 didn't like it as bread or toast. DS2 liked it as bread without anything on it.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Not more likely as they already have a good balanced diet.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I like it so I might buy a loaf occasionally for me but not for the DC. Would try other products in the range as my DC refuse to eat breakfast so always looking for a product they will eat and enjoy. Maybe they would prefer to eat fruity bready products more as a snack after an activity rather than for breakfast.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm not sure I would recommend because it wasn't such a good product for my family.

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I like that it's a fruited bread, and is an alternative to cakes. However, I didn't like the HUGE amount of gunk in the ingredients list for the blueberry flavoured pieces! And I found these made the bread taste a bit Fruitwinder-y Confused Why have flavoured pieces in the loaf when you have blueberries in it already? I was expecting there to be a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg in it, being a fruited loaf, and I was quite surprised that there wasn't. I suppose this keeps the savoury option open, but I honestly would prefer it with a little spice in it. Reading some of the other posts on here opened my mind up to trying it with cheese though, brie especially. Not sure about having it with meat, but I'll try it...

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD1 (2) had some for her lunch today, just sandwiched with a bit of marg, and she woofed it down! I was really pleased with that, as she's been fussy with her bread preferences recently. DS (9) will be trying it later after school, so will post again with his findings...

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Possibly. It depends on how much it retails for. My kids have wholegrain cereal for breakfast, and wholemeal bread for lunch usually. But I'd consider this as a healthy(er!) snack for them, or for a treat for tea if it's in line with other similarly sized loaves of bread.

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I would consider it, again based on the price. If it's a comparable price, I would definitely consider it as an alternative to cake. However if it is too expensive, I don't think I could justify buying it, as I'm not keen enough on the flavour to buy it for 'pleasure' eating. I wasn't aware of the muffins or bagels, but now I know about them, I'd certainly have a look and try them.

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'd certainly mention it them to try it, as they enjoy breads like this. I'm not sure if my brother would be able to eat it often as he is diabetic and the sugar level seems quite high.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Really liked it although it was a small loaf with small slices! Smelt lovely while in the toaster. Was really tasty with butter. Did notice the very long list of ingredients though.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
Yes DS really loved it with butter. He has taken some for packed lunch today. DD a bit fussy and hasn't tried it yet!

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Possible as neither or my DC (or us) particularly like brown bread, rice or pasta so makes a good alternative.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes I would, (depending on price) as me and DS really enjoyed it. I would now try the other products. I do my shopping online so hadn't seen them on the shelf.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I think so as it makes a slightly healthier alternative to cake without being as boring as plain bread!

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I liked it but found it really dry so had to put lots of butter on it compared to our usual hot cross buns. This aspect is not good as I am currently trying to lose weight! Like the size of it though and the convenience of it fitting well in our toaster.
  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
Both of my children ate it, but said they preferred hot cross buns. DD (8 years old) said it didn't taste of much. Overall, not overly impressed.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
No, not really. As we have a lot of wholegrain, fruit and veg in our diet anyway. I'd buy on taste and price firstly.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
Probably not, would get hot cross buns as my kids like them. Yes, I may buy the other products, but tend to get supermarkets own brand of these things as they tnd to be cheaper.
  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Wouldn't be singing and dancing about it but I may do, for the toasting ease qualities.
