My Little Pony is in da house!

Just wanted to record some first impressions, as I'm apt to forget! Our My Little Pony Friendship Express arrived this morning, and so far, its great, went together with a minimum of fuss and works perfectly. The DDs are thrilled with it, and even my 17mo can work the stack on/off switch.

Ours arrived at lunchtime too!
When I can find a screwdriver I will put the batteries in, but even without them mine seem quite impressed. Packaging less awful than other recent toys, not got a million wire ties to undo which is a bonus

We have ours as well. DS1 and DS2 were intrigued by Princess Celestia, and within minutes she was involved in a plot to launch nuclear weapons from the playmobil satellite. Sadly her involvement was the target of the nuclear weapons, but they do like the lights and moving wings. Our neighbour has a daughter who's 5, and she's very taken with Princess Celestia too.

We got ours too.

Luckily I didn't post after its initial outing - it didn't start well...

Looking better now though!

Eh, hang on , you all got a motorised Express train or something with flashing lights?! We appear to have just received one carriage, which although DD is very pleased with, its just a plastic carriage, not exactly thrilling without anything to pull it along.

DD is immersed in serving ice cream to the little squirrel but I can't see that game lasting too long. Ho hum, mustn't grumble seeing as it was free.
