Closure of Battersea Park Adventure Playground

For those of you that are unaware, this playground is closing permanently saturday and an event called "The Last Hurrah" is planned. Please see below for details;

On Sunday, 30th September 2012
Wandworth Borough Council are planning to close
three of the best children?s play facilities in Wandsworth
Battersea Park, Kimber Road, and York Gardens Adventure Playground
will be closed and these valuable staffed play facilities will be lost.
We want to:
We propose to set up a Public-Private Adventure Playgrounds Partnership
which is privately funded by the surrounding community and operates
in collaboration with the Council. We are seeking financial pledges of up
to £150,000 to strike a deal with the Council ASAP.
