Safe Chemicals campaign please!

Hello Mumsnet. You have a very strong voice in this country. Would you please consider using it to promote a safe chemicals campaign (similar to the US one supported by Jessica Alba, but going even further)? Mums are universally concerned about the health of their children and they need more information about products that include toxic chemicals (especially parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, triclosan, etc).

I'd be interested in this. I'm beginning to be concerned about the excessive use of chemicals in our everyday lives, but feel hugely uneducated about which chemicals are particularly dangerous and how to avoid / minimise exposure to them (even though I'm a scientist!).
