I think it is a fantastic idea to have the latest cancer campaign.

I just wondered if it would be possible to add something? I realise it may be too late but thought I may as well try.

My friend set up the Child Cancer Awareness Campaign after losing her DD.
Might it be possible to perhaps link to this and have a child cancer expert included in the Q&As?

So many parents here and education is so important. Most GPs will never see a case of childhood cancer and many children wait a very long time for a dx. I even know of cases of parents being offered anti D's because of their insistance that their children are ill.

I understand if this is not possible but it would seem to fit in with the theme.

I think its a great idea, and also think links to other Cancer info sites might be helpful too.

Thanks for the thoughts, we can definitely add some more links.

I think its particularly important for teenagers Justine. At that age parents are not so in tune with what is going on with them. I had no idea DD had lots of bruises because she was 12 and bathed alone etc.

Links to the //tct.org.uk would be helpful but more info for parents would be better Smile

I WORK AT A MAJOR UK CHILDRENS HOSPITAL SPECIALISING IN THE TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER - THE CHILDREN ARE SOME OF THE MOST AMAZING RESILIANT BEINGS AND IT IS THE PARENTS WHO SEEM TO SUFFER THE MOST AS THE KIDS HAVE NOT KNOWN ANYTHING ELSE. JUST GIVE BIG HUGS AND DONT LET THEM SENSE YOUR FEAR OR WORRY - AS A VET ONCE TOLD ME, ' TELL A DOG THEY HAVE CANCER AND THEY SURVIVE LONGER, TELL A HUMAN AND THEY PANIC AND GIVE IN'DONT LET THE KIDS SEE YOUR FEAR
