Joined recently, and invited to join you multiple mums by inamuckingfuddle. Still all in a tiz for bf for only 6 weeks, but twins now 10mths and fabulous.

Twins concieved FIRST TIME we tried (ok, I was working away a lot).

would like another go, dh hitting big 40 in a couple of years, I'm early 30's.

Also really scared getting second set of twins. Anyone taken the plunge?

Perhaps not the best time to be thinking about this whilst twins birth still fresh in my memory.

Hi walkie! Glad you popped by, we are growing day by day here and its all good

I'll link you into our daily thread and then you can hear from all the regulars. Harrogatemum had a little girl recently after her twin boys so she might be your woman to chat with. I had mine the other way round, I had a DD then DTs. There are heaps of mums on there and we all have different stories but the important thing is that you don't have to stand on ceremony. Shove in a chair at the bar kitchen table and, because of the amount of children we all have, shout loudly No make up and messy jamas are perfect.

And give up on the marbles. After a bit you wonder why you ever thought you wanted any.

hi walkie - I did it the other way around as well. ds1 (4 next month) and dts (girl/boys) are 7.5 mths. I wouldn't do it again, but saying that days are much easier when ds1 is at preschool

I have DTDs (6) and DD3 (18m). I still have some marbles...they spend most of their time being picked up off the floor ....

Seriously though I have to say I glad there is a big aged gap and that DD3 is the easiest baby/toddler in hte world.

Welcome walkie! Come join us on the d'y ever thread. We do cake! Lots of the mad lovely multiple mums have gone on to have others. Tripletsand twins is having twins (which wasn't at all obvious by the name) but the rest of them seem to have settled for 1 after DTs.

Me........... I was crazy enough to have 3 and then DTs. Alcohol is a wonderous thing!

Look forward to chatting

hi walkie - I haven't taken the plunge and now that they're nearly 4 and so much easier to deal with I don't think I will! My sis's friend had 2 sets of bg twins, second set born just after the first lot turned 2. I cannot imagine how she stays sane

Hiya! I have twin dd's (4) plus an older dd (12) and a younger one (19 months). I don't know about staying sane-I'm not convinced I was in the first place .

(Make room for me please on the "D'ya" thread-I'm on my way over!!)

Hi walkie - yes I had a baby girl two years after my DTs (boys) were born.....I will admit it was tough for the first couple of months after she was born as they were so jealous. Then we had a great period of time but now she is coming up to one and is crawling and trying to walk and keeps getting into their toys and what they are doing, it is getting a bit difficult again.

HOwever I wouldnt change it for the world! I was so pleased to geta little girl after having the boys.......DH even wants more, but I think I'm done.....

Hi there

I had singleton then twins and yes, is a scarey for a while, but soon calms down. My singleton is in a class with twins who have an older sister and new baby sister and their Mum is happy and manages to get to school on time almost all the time!!

The new baby bit is always the worst - whether it is one, two or three so if you have twins you'll have 4 beauties with half the pain (I reckon). Night time feeds are awful even if you have one so you may as well wake for 2!!

my friend (in Harrogate) gave birth to triplets when her dd1 was 13 months

that's 4 under 14 months must be a record!

Hi

I have had twins, two boys who are 5 now. I had a little boy in May. I have to say I am very glad to have experienced the joy and relative ease of one baby compared to the military organisation and lack of sleep that is twindom! Would never change it for the world, both experiences are fantastic.
Good luck whatever you decide

Hi walkie, don't think I have any marbles left, well maybe not many.
I'm doing it both ways, my DTs are 11mths and next singleton due end of March. Also have DS1 (5 in Feb and DD1 3 years 3mths). I wouldn't have minded another set of DTs, would have rounded me up to 6 nicely.

If you still have marbles after twins, I don't think you're ever going to lose them!

I took the plunge after triplets and I will soon have twins ...I'm pleasantly insane already

bloody hell after reading all your posts it has been confirmed that i legally have no marbles left at all After having my eldest dd who is now 5 i went on and gave birth to identical twin boys the week after she turned one, ( think i needed my head reading then!!!!!!) I then went on to have another dd when the boys were two and tia was three, it can be done but trying to keep your marbles isnt a good idea, just wave them goodbye and be as daft as i am !!!!!!!!
