Expecting twins and already very overweight - HELP!

I have a DD aged 5 and am 14 weeks pregnant with twins. I had a miscarriage about 2.5 years ago so am thrilled to be pregnant again but am still a bit in shock that I am having two!

My main concern is that pre-pregnancy I weighed about 18 stone (250 pounds) though had consciously lost 1.5 stone before finding out we were expecting. With my daughter I had got down to just over 15 stone before getting pregnant and put on about three stone during the pregnancy. I carry most of my weight on my bottom half and already have a tummy anyway.

So far I have only put on a few pounds but would like to know realistically how much will I put on and if there are additional problems that come from it - I am not a vain person at all, I already have stretch marks on my stretch marks! - but I don't want to spend this pregnancy worrying about weight-related complications unneccessarily when at this point there's not much I can do about it!

Any reassurance will be welcome.

Obviously I don't know the extra stresses of an extra baby, but I was 18 stone when I got pregnant and ds weighed 12lb 4oz so kind of like two babies!

My stomach got huuuuge, but after I'd had him and the swelling had gone down I was pre-pregnancy size. I was never weighed. The swelling did get quite bad and at 41 weeks I had protein in my urine and was kept in and induced 3 days later. But up until then I was fine.

I had to have a gestational diabetes test anyway, even though my blood test was fine and well within normal, just because I was overweight.

I ended up with a c-section which went absolutely fine. I had injections twice a day afterwards to prevent blood clots, but I don't know if that's routine or because of my weight. The scar did come apart a little at the side, about 0.5cm worth and got infected so I had antibiotics for that. I couldn't really lie on my side because my belly would tug at it.

If you're planning on breastfeeding and your boobs are large research it online because the help I got didn't take into consideration large boobs and large belly, though there was an older assistant that was fabulous in helping where the named breastfeeding helper midwife was useless and actually deserted me!

Don't know if any of this essay has helped or not! In hindsight I would've done dedicated exercise to help with the latter half of the pregnancy. Although I could still walk around town and stuff I would have appreciated being stronger.

i was 13 and half stone when i fell pregnant with both sets of twins.
After giving birth i weighed less than i did before i got pregnant. I found i couldn't eat that much in the end as my stomach was so squished!
1st set weighed 6lb 13, 7lb 12
2nd set weighed 7lb 5, 7lb 12

so they did well on me having extra stores of nutrients anyway! haha

i never weighed myself whilst pregnant and they didn't weigh at clinic either so don't know how much i gained.
