Twins?

Thoughts and experiences please -
10wks preg with second. Much more severe morning sickness, tiredness, sore boobs etc. Pushed midwife to check for heartbeat (had some spotting at 6 weeks) and she was surprised to find one easily at 10 weeks. Said I was measuring 14 weeks. Showing much more than at this stage with first.
Twins?!!!

Really not unusual to measure bigger second time round. If heartbeat was found so easily are you sure of your date? Perhaps you are further on?

No, very sure of dates. I know you expect to show earlier due to lack of stomach muscles. But do you also measure larger?

You can do - measuring is pretty inaccurate to be honest. You'll soon know when you get your scan

Thanks. It's a week tomorrow, so we'll soon find out.

My symptoms were much more pronounced with my second pregnancy, when I was expecting my DTs. And I got very big very quickly. Everyone told me it was to be expected, as it was my second pregnancy, and my muscles had relaxed (and I was still carrying a fair bit of baby weight from the first time around! But 'something' told me I was carrying twins - not quite sure how I knew, but I did, from the moment I first saw the blue line on the pregnancy test. Sure enough, there they were, clear as day, at the scan .

But others have had entirely different experiences - with symptoms very similar to other singleton pregnancies, so my experience is by no means the norm. And I don't want to worry you!

Hope all goes well at the scan next week - pop back to let us know whether you've got one, two or three in there .

And????

I had no symptons but a very strong feeling - with no reason to - that it was twins before it was confirmed !

Thanks - still wondering what is going on in there. Scan is tomorrow morning, so I will let you know!

Just one, big baby in there. Slightly relieved! Sure we would have coped, but feel much more confident about managing just one.
Thanks to all for your contributions
