PMSL..it really ain't that bad having 8...HONEST!!!!

Thank-you for all your lovely welcomes.....before i carry on thought i would answer some questions that i know will come up..and if i was a 'non-mother' of 8 kids ..i would be asking these type of questions too.....!

They are all mine...
They are all Darrens...
I do love children..however i didn't plan on having 8 (in fact only 1 was actually planned) careless i know..i do like the process of making children though...
We have a big telly...
We have always had a big telly...
..none of the twins were buy one get one free...
we won't be having anymore-i have been sterilized...
no twins in the family....
yes,lots of washing....
Darren works lots and lots of hours to feed them...
They eat well and sleep well-probably the reason why i haven't gone mad yet....
We don't have routine..we have organisation and no hoarding to make the hallways passable....
6 boys (excellent with all the footie shirts not much ironing
2 princess-much harder work than all the boys put together....
We have a Ford Galaxy...
they all get on...
and they all argue...!
The worst part-all that potty training
The best part-all the hugs

Anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

I love hearing about the big families. Makes my 5 (including DTs) sound nice and reasonable sized iykwim! lol

lg&t will be glad cos she's on number 6.

Welcome to Mumsnet and do come and join us on the "usual" multiples thread as Piximon says. She'll love you. She wants a really large family. I've stopped thinking of mine as a large family.

Love the answers to the common questions. I think all the multiple mums have most of them on their lists too lol

Emma, this is my first posting here,

Glad to know I'm not the only one suffering the daft questions!

I get countless peeps asking me if I know that 3 plus 2 equals 5...5 children...yes ! I can count!

I'm a mum to 2 teenage girls -15 & 14 and a wee dote- a boy who's 5.

I'm 18 weeks preg with twins due in August.

I'm so thrilled to be having them and I can't wait! None of the preg were planned, just a case of having 'breaks' and not being as careful, but...that's grand!

It's wile that peeps do seem to think large families border on insanity...how dare they!

I just love coming home after work, and I know the twins will make it even more magical.....ask me again in Aug thou!!

Hello caromdoh, welcome to mumsnet, i haven't been here long, but its very welcoming...and very addictive-def the best place to ask twin questions!..lol

Congrats on your twin pregnancy..it's very exciting! Are you going to find out the sexes? do you know if they are identical or not???? aww i am jealous i would love to have more twins, i keep hoping that my sterilization would fail...i would be so happy...lol

Let us know how you pregnancy is going.....

my only words of advice are....be careful after they are born in August as there is a 70 % chanceof concieving twins again in the year after giving birth to twins..i am living proof..lol..the chances going down slightly in the following few years...so be careful..lol
