If so are the discounts they offer at places like mothercare any good?

I'm a TAMBA member - I joined when I first found out I was expecting twins without really thinking about the discounts. The Clarks one is definitely worth having, particularly if you have other children as well, as you get the discount for all your children's shoes - 10% - and I know of mums who've got 10% off their own shoes as well .

I used to use the message board a lot, and you now have to be a member to use the board, which is a recent change TAMBA have made as a result of lots of fakers and rogue posters. IMO this is a shame as there are a lot of people who need the message board before they decide whether or not to join, when they find out they are expecting twins for example.

There are cheaper membership rates depending on your circumstances and you can pay monthly if that makes life easier (not that I'm trying to sell it to you!). BTW I think to get the discount at Mothercare you have to spend something like £300 - so not really worth doing for that!

I joined Tamba for the first year of twins - got zero benefit out of it.

Found the forum much better on Twinsclub.co.uk and that is free.

Would not bother to join again.

I'm a member and I like the magazine as well as the 10% discount at Clarks. I have bought booklets from them which have been really useful and for some christmas presents, I ordered calenders where 10% of the proceeds went to Tamba. I don't get much else out of them but I don't make an effort to maximise the benefits that I can get.

I'm a member on TAMBA and absolutely love it, have made some good friends on there and can always get an answer to any q's I may have. We're like a family on there, and stick together through the hard/ difficult times and laugh together through the good.

Hiya Everyone,

Been a member for over 4 years now.

Great organisation, provide information that actually relates to you as a mother of multiples.

Discounts great, over the years I have got my membership back by way of the discounts!

Hiya All,

Opps sorry forgot... their website address is:

www.tamba.org.uk.

For those of you expecting your multiples, would highly recommend you attending one of their seminars, which they hold, where you get to meet seasoned multiple mothers and ask them how they coped and what they did...

We did when I was expecting and it really was envaluable!

Re. buggies...highly recommend the Nipper. It is very light. It is slightly narrower than most two or so seaters, and fits in all lifts and doors designed for wheelchairs...

Poking my nose in here a bit, but glad to hear that you like the tamba discounts, I decided to offer 10% to tamba members as I reckon if you're going for cloth nappies with twins you deserve a discount. Single babies cost enough to keep (I have four singles).
