School friend obssessed with one of my twins but can't stand the other ...

.... they are 5 and in year 1 - separate classes. They both have their own friends but like to meet up at play-time, shared time etc. One girl in DD1's class has become a bit obssessed with her and whilst DD1 likes her, she finds her a bit clingy. This girl doesn't like DD2 at all - I think she's slightly jealous of the bond the girls have as she wants DD1 all to herself. She has been very rough to DD2 - pushing and shoving her and she has come home with scratches on her face this week. I'm very friendly with the girl's mum and have she is aware of the problems going on between the pair of them (I also think DD2 has been rough in response). She has spoken to her daughter about it but it still continues. What else can I do? The teachers are aware and put the three of them in separate groups where possible. This girl has problems with her speech and no-one else seems to bother with her so I do feel for her but want her to stop being so nasty to DD2.

I have had exactly the same problem with my twins, it did pass. The following year they were put in seperate classes and touch wood no probs since. I would monitor it closely though and continue to raise concerns, is there a child dd2 plays with more?
